Cam 2 Racing Fuel; Long Island Locations

Just wondering where on Long Island you guys have seen Cam 2 racing fuel at the pump. I used to be able to get a fuel truck to pull up to that gate at Mac Arthur airport like 10 years ago, but since 9/11 thats over. I've also heard its sold at the pump on rt 112 in Medford but thats kinda far for me. I remember them selling on DPA but not sure if they still do???

what can i modify next ?
I remember a place I passed off Exit 17 of the Southern State and then south towards Oceanside it was on the left, passed by everyday when I worked in Oceanside

Im pretty sure someone on Straight path or Little east neck Rd has it. Ill try and find out for ya later. My Wifes brother puts it in his stang. I will try and get a hold of him today or tommorow.

The crappy gas station on belmore rd. and jerusalem is caled Road ready it used to be sunoco. Sonoco had a seperate pump with all HP gas. Now I think he just sells cam 2 I believe, Im not 100% sure if he still does but its about 5 min from my house so ill stop by later,check and post up the address. He helped me tune my car a few times he had a dyno and a box nova set up for the strip.

Call SK-Speed. I think they might stock it in jugs. Not sure though.
just got of phone with SK. They stock VP Racing Fuels 108 in 5 gallon drums for $79.29 + tax. And yes, its in stock now.

I think the station on N. Jerusalem and Bellmore Road still has it as mentioned but don't use it. I wouldn't use Cam2 from any gas station pump. How many people go and use that? Think about it. That gas just sits there and goes bad. Best bet is to go someplace like SK Speed who always have fresh gas in the drums.

I know people who have used it without problems, including me many years ago ONCE but never again. I've also heard horror stories of people who used Cam2 from a pump. I think the people who really need to run Cam2 know better but I was just trying to prevent someone else going through the bad things I've heard about.

I donno what ur talkin bout exit 17 gets new gas at least once a month, during nice driving weather he says he can't keep the tanks full, you be surprised how many ppl have cars needing 110 all the time due to the fact our gas changed a few years back...

I wonder how many people actually need the 110 but I'd be surprised that many who do are running around the streets on a regular basis. For a car to NEED 110 it would have to be a pretty high compression or a high boosted engine. More people use 104 octane then 110 on the street from what I've seen. I mean cars needing that fuel are not a daily drivers (usually at least) I know a few hardcore street racers/drag racers and know they would never get their race gas from a pump. Unleaded Cam2 comes in 100 or 104 octane, I think all the rest are leaded unless something has changed. If you want to get race gas at the pump and you know the guy really is turning it over that fast I guess it's safe but for most people I know who actually need it, they would never get it from a pump. Luckily and unfortunately I don't need it.

the lukoil by applebees on route 25 in lake grove sells that stuff...you might wanna try tht but beware, they nickel and dime you like the rest of the oil industry ^o)

Cam2 that is and not sunoco leaded....obviously

Hempstead ave 17s on Southern state parkway 8.75 for 100 octane and 9.75 for 110 .. Been going there for years and they've always got the stuff 100 octane any one of the workers will put directly in the car , as for the 110 it depends on which guy is working . Some guys won't pump it into a car only cans . the evening guy doesn't care he'll pump the 110 into your car or motorcycle .
