Shouldn't be more than a few hundred bucks...just make sure the guy add's flex additive to the paint or the cracks will be a-coming back. matching the paint should be too difficult w/black, especially if the paint on the fenders is in good shape.

Yea, those stripes that go around the ground FX. If they strip and paint the bumper. You will need new stripes.

Unless u dont do the chin spoiler,
Or are they over the chin spoiler?

^ I agree...any reputable body shop is going to paint the entire bumper of the car so the stripes are going to be removed prior to paint. They aren't going to 'spot paint' the affected area. They may even paint the front lower lip for a better blend (which i would recommend if its chewed up a bit). When i brought my car in to have the front lower lip/bumper/hood (new hood at the time) painted, they ended up painting the entire front clip (i.e. fenders as well) to better blend them in. Since the bumper butts against the fenders, you'll see a dfferent hue if the factory paint is weathered enough, when there is a gap, say between the fender and a door, you can get away w/a bit more color difference. My 2 cents, buy new parking light assemblies from gm and iinstall them or let the body guy do it, i did and made 200% difference in the look of the car after paint...looks brand new since the old ones were a bit dull.

:iagree: About the parking lights. All original ive seen are cloudy and dull. Its the little things like that, That really clean up a car when changed.

You are lookingat $500 - $1000. That is adding the cost of the stripes, stripping, preparing and painting the bumper (correctly) with flex.

Did you ever get a chance to do Grundy?

Black is black there is no blending.
What about taking into account years of fading on the fenders and hood?

Nope, no blending of any sorts with black, you shoot the entire pannel in black basecoat and then clear the entire pannel.

Grundy makes you take pictures of your car in or by a garage? Thats crazy. I took pictures of my car in an open field when i submitted them to haggerty. Depending on the quality and preparation of the touch up you want to do obv determines the associated cost. YOU can stipulate to a body shop how and what you want painted to save some money.
