Earlier in the thread it was brought up that a car needed a third brake light id it was 86' or newer. My argument is that not many or no one would know period unless they were going over the vehicle. Especially if there was no lens present. And you say "we all know" sure meaning all cops from were you are from know 86' or newer cars should come with a third brake light. understandable The only way of knowing there is or isnt a light is from being behind the vehicle while its hitting the brakes. The only way to know the year of a vehicle be it a cop or an average person is to look at the vin, type the plate # in the system?, or look at the regi. Honestly to me it seems like you have a slim to none chance of getting a ticket unless your car was being looked over by a cop who has it in his mind and is looking to give you a hard time, or are driving like a jerk and deserve to get nailed for everything.
To my understanding this means "All cops know there is supposed to be a third brake light but as long as the brake lights are working you all could care less." I thought I interpreted it right I may be wrong , sorry. I knew I would strike someones nerve. I wasn't putting anyone down. And there is no need to get offended and nasty. There are more great and respected cops than there are bad ones. And there are terrible police officers I know a few on a personal level. If you took my post offensively I'm Truly sorry but I thought in this forum we could all act like adults. I don't think my post deserved a response like that but I could be wrong. It was just a question it wasn't intended to come over as sarcastic. Sorry for the confusion. Charlie Edited by BlackMagic, Jul 10 2010, 07:57 PM.

im a sarcastic Fcuk. i didnt mean to come off like a dick but i guess it could have sounded funnier in person. but yeah bro all cops know that there needs to be 3 brake lights its not a big deal if you dont the main shit is as long as the 2 on the side work your good to go. some of the dick heads nit pick when they want to write up someone. like 1 headlight being out turn signal etc etc. if you do look over the VTL there are countless violations that anyone can get written up on that no one driving knows about. you should check it out man and stop waking off in the tool shed

Lol alright then no problems. hmm maybe I should add one on my car then. On a serious note cant you always put one on the inside of the car? Like an led strip on the back of the headliner that would shine through the rear window. No one would know you had it until you hit the brakes. Just an Idea. |
