Simple question, as of now, which looks more dated the 3rd gen camaro's or firebird's? I would think camaro's look more dated as they are slightly more 'boxy' than the bird particularly with the square headlights and rear spoilers, but the pop up headlights of the bird are a pretty much dated technology...few cars have them anymore. To me, an 88-90 gta w/the louvered hood and aero rear spoiler looks more fresh than a 'maro....even though their both more outdated than jerry curls nowadays. |

Actually, I thought the 4th gen Firebirds look more dated! I may be biased, but the 3rd gen Camaros still look hot! The 'Birds are the ones that look dated to me! |

I'm gonna have to say the Camaro's look a bit more dated, but the Firebird does look pretty doofy with the lights up. Mine kinda has a worried look to it IMO. Then again, with the way the bodies look on some of these newer cars, I think both the Maro and the Bird are lookin' a bit aged. It's all good though, I get off on '57 Chevy's... the '80s/'90s are still pretty sweet lookin'. |

Camaro is winning this poll by a landslide. I still think the box chevys from the 80's (caprice/3rd gens/monte's) still look great..just something about those monte's. Just by looking at the pic of glens car and the tta on the top of this page though, the camaro still looks more dated, but retro is coming back hard. |

I will also say the camaros look more dated. The birds fit the sleek modern look better. Also the last time I had my bird out, I had 3 doof balls ask me if it was a 2010 model. |

Camaro definately looks a bit more dated. I dont think by a whole lot though. Even though "flip-ups" were still used in the 00's the Firebirds are very boxy and huge and with them up it really looks dated. With lights down, Camaro looks older, with the Firebirds lights up, I say its a tie. The 91/92 Firebird (not sure if thats correct, believe so) "flips up's", look more modern. Has anyone eveer seen them put on the 82-90 birds? Just out of curiosity. Probally wouldnt line up or something. They were smaller if my memory serves me correct. I think liked them better, just havent seen em in a few years since my dad sold his 91 Formula. |

91-92 bird flip lights (actual structure) are the same size as older ones. They might have used a smaller light itself, but the housing is the same size. |

Ahh.....I remember seeing the lights being smaller, didnt realize the structure was the same. For some reason I thought it was smaller or different as well. |

other than slight body modifications (louvers, ground effects, nose or paint) the camaro body pretty much never changed from 82-92 as you can always pick out a 91-92 bird and to me the early trans am 85,86 with the body kit look alot like an early 80's vette (eco vette) ill always prefer a camaro but if someone wants to give me a trans am ill gladly take it. but the camaro gets my vote for the more dated look.
