Anyone Ever seen where the power antenna got stuck down? At first I thought I didnt have one but after a closer look at the GTA it looks like its stuck down and someone tried to pick the tip of it back up with a screw driver after it jammed. Maybe its the power antenna motor? |

The motor gets activated by powering the radio...if you dont' hear it it can be faulty or the motor has been deactivate. Use wd40 if you manage to pull it out and find out the motor works...wd willl give a nice coating for it to work right. Personally, they're nothing but trouble though...replace w/a regular fixed shaft. |

dude instead of ripping the car apart get a haynes manual or ask to see what the right way is to check it lol i really dont think taking the fender off is the way to go try having some one turn the radio on first with it all the way down and see if you hear the motor trying to work my power antenna gets stuck once in a while from driving when its up after time it bends just enough to jam it up |

Now that is getting to the point. If my memory serves me correctly, the only screws you need to touch on the fender is the ones on the bottom rear. I remember doing one and putting a small piece of wood between the fender and the body so I could get my arm in there a little better. If you want to take off the fender just to do it, then you can. The only thing is, good luck lining that thing up again. |
