Ok, well for those of you who don't know I did a lot of work on my car and motor these last few months. I'm not done yet but I am in need of new radiator hoses. I would like them before first start, but not necessary. I just changed a set of hoses on my buddies mustang to Mishimoto hoses, which are spiral wound silicone with a gloss finish and look absolutely awesome. They come in a variety of colors, but I really like the black. I have been searching for similar hoses for the camaro but I can not come up with anything. I don't like any of the g-flex type hoses, chrome or colored. Tacky IMO. Stock hoses are my only option at this point, and my engine bay being so bare and clean I would like to get something a little nicer than stock type hoses. My other idea was fabbing up a set out of aluminum intake tube, but I don't have a TIG and my spool gun (which I recently sold) never got me a show quality weld. I don't want straight aluminum pipe either with silicone elbows, need some curves. Does anybody know if there is a company out there who will make spiral wound silicone hoses gloss finish? Mishimoto doesn't make a set for our cars. Any other ideas are welcome. |

I was thinking about that just now. I'm going to check out the pricing. Have any ideas on where to get the pipe and bends from? I get my exhaust piping from airflo I will check there if they carry small pipe like that. |

The mustang kit wont work. Once you bend a hose, you weaken it where the bend is. While its bent it will tend to collapse. They have a universal kit, but its 135$ plus shipping. Would hate to spend that and have to hack up a universal kit to fit. I will call BNR. I would like to see what they are charging for a few bends and a straight, thin mild steel 1.25" pipe. Id like to weld it up, shave it smooth, and then paint it either gloss black, or the same color as my engine bay. |

I like all the new A/N fittings they make for the Rad system, A/N thermostat housing, weld A/N fitting to rad and run steel braided hoses. |

I would but its just way to much money for something that is for strictly aesthetic purposes. Looking at over 600$ just to setup a braided system. Maybe if it was one of the last things left to do, but I still need too many pieces to my puzzle to do something like that.
