so i bought a pair of glass tops and i know to use them i gotta switch out the pins . . . only thing is i cant figure out how to get them off with out breaking the seal

I switched out the mounts on the car instead....they just bolt on!

That's what ill probably do ... Because the glass has thinner pins then the lexan

GM used different pins in the 91 and 92 cars. Put the on if they fit fine. I tried and they did not fit on mine.

the wider diameter pins are spring loaded and fit a little tighter probably due to the fact that lexan is definitely lighter than glass. i have a 92 z28 it came stock with the lexan/acrylic/ plastic whatever u want to call them with the larger diamter pins but i also have a set of glass with the smaller diameter pins they both fit and work fine i just prefer the lexan.if u look at the adjuster housings on the frame youll notice they are tapered and that either pin fits fine.
so any way to change them out you only need to remove the covers drill out the rivits that hold the locks on remove the lock and in turn remove the shaft with the pin ont end and rerivit it onto the other one.

Just change the mounts....don't touch the t-tops! There are only two types of mounts....the hooks ( 82-84 ) and the round pins. If you have the round pins already, then it'll be a direct fit. If the pins are black plastic and larger than your present metal pins...they will retract when you lock them in.

Thats what i want to do . . . where can i get a set of the smaller diamater ones?
Just tried them on the car they do fit but theres WAY too much wiggle room for me to be comfortable driving around with them or even leaving them on and expecting them not to leak . . . so untill i get the new mounts the lexan are staying in
