rims question need help!

i went to put my 14" turbocast rims(knight rider) on my 83 trans am and it wouldnt fit the back because it kept hitting the caliper. would 15"turbocast rims solve this problem?

Check and see if the rear end was ever upgraded. I know people had issues fitting them on the later model thirdgens like the GTAs.

Just throwing it out there, 14'' rims for drum brakes and 15'' for disc brakes. The 14'' were more popular then the 15'' because the 15'' rims were a WS6 upgrade. I would say 15'' is hard to find, but I am not sure of that.

I would do what Sam said. Check the option tag on the car and see if it came with a WS6 package.

should hang right off the cover, its a metal tag that sticks out

1989 Formula 350, 5.7 TPI, T-5, WS6 suspension, 3:23 posi rear, disc brakes, T-Tops, Holley 52mm TB, Ported Upper Plenum, SLP Siamese Runners, 24# Injectors, G92 Exhaust option, Custom Chip(By gp90gta). car definitely wouldnt be what it is today without alot of help from all my friends here... thanks guys

Only the Borg/Warner 9 bolt has a id tag
The 10 bolt only got a tag if it has a posi unit(limited slip diff lube only)

Look for the RPO sticker in the box in the trunk or the middle console. Then search on here for the link to the RPO decoder I posted sometime back.
