Nov 1911 race car driver Louis Chevrolet built the first Chevrolet. 100 years, through 2 World Wars, the Great Depression, the hippie movement, Agua-Gate, countless recessions and the Corvair. Chevrolet held a vote on its website of the best chevy of all time....sadly i didn't get it correct ('57 bel air, quintessential cruiser imo), congrats to the '69 camaro. http://www.chevrolet.com/100-years/best-chevy-of-all-time-winner/ Which poses another question in light of recent economic events and the ballout.......Do you think they will be around to celebrate the bi-centennial? |

We grew up with '56 Bel Aire straight 6, I believe....I remember we drove to Canada once and the car could barely make some of hills! Dad was a Chevy man.
