Good idea to have one around. But once you start to modify, the book won't tell you much.

The manual does start to lose its effectiveness when you begin modding. However, if you're modding yourself, you begin to know the car like the back of your hand anyway. The manual came in very handy the first time I tore down the tpi. Now I know the tpi inside and out and can tear down and reassemble by memory and I know where all the wires and hoses go to. But I still refer to my manual for electrical work and torque specs for bolts as well as finding locations for things you can't see.
