What do you guys think about one of those?? I was thinking about getting a two door chevy s-10 pickup. Or the reg cab one. I wouldn't mind. I know about adding at least 300 IBS of sand and make a box right over the rear of the axle. What if i got one of those and put a good set of snow tires how good would it be in the snow?? I like them. There somewhat small but there the perfect size for what I'm looking for. Give me your thoughts on it. oh Yeah I sold my truck for 2200. Ran like crap because of spark plug wires... I tried 5 different sets. Didn't like accel morso msd bosch duralast or ac delco. Nope It liked autolite professional series don't ask me why it liked the wires but it did. |

my old s10 did great in the snow but i have knobby tired on it i only used my 4x4 to get out of my back yard since it was in a hill and i got 3-4ft drifts but my opinion if your ging to get an s10 i wouldnt get a single cad there really small and if you have so much as a book bag with you it gets crowded fast and if you can fid one 4x4 wouldnt help either also try to find the 4.3 either vorted or non vortec (depending on the year) those motors are bullet proof but not water proof |

Sounds good to me guys. And No It has it's glitches. Like door lock doesn't work on right side. Left side seal is bad heat only blows up and shitty exhaust leak at cat. That's it. But it's whatever it's sold and gone now. I'd buy another but would have to be a silverado pickup extended cab. But s-10 is around my price range of 800 and under. Name some other good vehicles in winter? Just for more options if i can't find one. |

Subaru anything, is crazy good in the winter with a good set of tires on it. We ran our Legacy wagon through things that would make a full size truck cry and it only had all season tires at the time. |

My father and i drove a 91 s15 for 15yrs w/o so much as weight in the back and good all season tires. that was the "iron duke" 2.5l 4cylinder...awesome truck...the 4.3 has value guide issues like 3rd gens but the biggest issues w/82-93 s10's is cab mount/body rot. ....disagreeing w/shane though...subaru's are money pits esp cheap old ones... |

I like subaru's just I talked to a couple people around town. Saying that there money parts. One guy spent 10,000 bucks on a 02 sti. The thing looked great when he bought it. Supposiv the kid had it turboed. On his way home he said was shot and kicked up and was stuck on. Then the electrical system cut straight out on him. He told me the computer fried. He said it costed him 800 bucks new dealership or 500 for one used one from junkyard with wire harness and all other computer controllers and etc. I would like to stay around chevy or ford. Chevy's and ford parts are cheap if you need new parts and also it's just easier to work on. I know how to do a intake manifold job at home. Never Knew How. Now i do. I thought it would take me like 5 days to do it on my truck. And asshole mechanics where giving me shitty quotes anywhere from 750-1200. Not worth doing. Spent 17 bucks on gaskets and 10 on some good sealer. 27 bucks compared to 800 dollar job is a great savings for me. Best deal my bro ever got was a 5 speed jeep. front axle was shot. but he bought the jeep for 80 bucks. I sh!t myself when i heard that. had clear title and ran great. He put a new front axle and driveshafts and u joints. It worked perfect. He only had 250 bucks into and ended up selling it for 3000 dollars. Can't find anything around here like a deal like that. was a 98 4 door cherokee se had 4x4 cruise and all. best part was had minimal rust and only 99,000 miles. Very disappointed. That Blazer was great, had minor issues like most old trucks/cars do. It had a perfect body on it which is rare to find for your price range |

Ur just all over the place kid, and whoever your friend is with the Subaru, it came turbo and he's a retard, and so are you for selling a truck you fixed up that would be great in winter and now want another steaming pile of sh!t for 600 bux to get through the winter, wtf man. And this is a serious non sarcastic question: do you take doctor prescribed meds? |

Sean blazer rocker where rotted out. Someone bondoed them and part of the door. Front fenders where starting to rust. Top had a rust bubble right in the front. also filler neck rusted. Don't ask me how but i guess it rusted. I would think sense gas is near it would keep it from rusting. ( NOT ADHD PILLS I AM NOT RETARDED) Yes I actually been taking medicine for the cold i had. They Fcuk me up... I had mono and never went to doctor's because i thought it was something simple. I'm taking 6 disgusting horse pills for it. I'm finally able to smell breath through my nose taste. I was getting upset stomach feeling of throwing up and constantly getting dizzy. I'm sorry about the horrible typing I am having. It's really this shitty cold i have. It really took a hard hit on me. I was going to say If i bought this I'd pay someone to drive it to me. I was going to say it's really close to your guys. The underneath is solid. He said it is undercoated. Would have to pay quite a pretty penny to do that lolz. Don't expect more than 10mpg(and that's being optimistic) considering overall of the car, and that truck style never got more than 13mpg when they were healthy. you're ~350miles away. So that's at least 35gallons one way. That's about 150$ in gas. Then you would need to cover either the Plane ticket home, or another ~150$ in gas for the way back. Would need to cover Food/Lodge we'll leave at "?$" for the night (since i wouldn't drive 6hrs to and then 6hrs back nonstop). Now that the expenses are taken care of. You need to talk about the actual payment of said driving the potentially dangerous truck 350miles without knowing the full status on the motor/trans/brakes/steering and stuff that could kill me if failed lol. And Taking up 1-2days of time off work to do trip. Lets say for the sake of time 400$ for that. So that's 700$ total in shipping (not including if heaven forbid anything bad happens driving the damn thing/or if it needs anything straight out the gate so it will make the trip) - (which is still drastically lower than getting a company to ship it to you). Which means you'd be now paying ~1300$ for a 600$ truck. - And lets not forget the one thing that people always fail to realize. What about getting the truck Registered/Titled/Insured/plates. Since I am not, and hell lets be honest, No One would do a 350mile journey with no reg or plates/false plates etc. SO you'd have to tack that on. ---------- HEY! Isn't business and reality fun!? lol Edited by Slash, Jan 6 2012, 12:39 AM.

Prolly more biased..but my Subbie was $350. Shanes right..the all seasons even got it through some nasty sh!t! But once it had 7/32nds left, well...we don't need to be reminded of him putting it in a ditch last Jan ![]() Mine's a 95, a complete brake job on front and back was only $140.It's not all that expensive to maintain. More parts of this car than even domestic cars are made in the USA. I would have to add...that they are not cheap! Just checking out our Buffalo CL..cheapest one is $1600...with over 200k miles! |
