looking to make my truck a little louder and sound a little better going down the road. its a 1996 dodge dakota with the 318 i want to change the muffler but not spend an arm and a leg doing it i was looking into cherrybomb but can decide on the vortex or extreme iv spent the last hour or so on youtube looking at numerous vids trying to see the difference but there all crappy sound quality any of you have an opininion or input?

im lookig for a nice sound but not to loud to were its going annoy me going down the road. i was only leaning twords the extreme because of the price

any and all suggestions are appretiated thank you

you might be interested into looking at dynomax super turbo muffler.....i have 1 on my TA and my dad just put one on his truck.....sounds nice! not super loud, pretty mellow and no drone, and its pretty inexpensive

1989 Formula 350, 5.7 TPI, T-5, WS6 suspension, 3:23 posi rear, disc brakes, T-Tops, Holley 52mm TB, Ported Upper Plenum, SLP Siamese Runners, 24# Injectors, G92 Exhaust option, Custom Chip(By gp90gta). car definitely wouldnt be what it is today without alot of help from all my friends here... thanks guys

for around $300 buks, you can get a cat back from flowmaster...heartthrob exhausts are pretty inexpensive too.

I would get a flowmaster super 10 muffler and just swap out the mufflers on the truck

Matt i looked into the dyno max they are pretty in expencive and i found a vid on youtube and i think it sounds a little better but do you guys have headers and cats too or was it just a muffler swap?

im not looking to do a full exhaust job on it hell i dont even wanna do a cat back just the muffler then add or take some pipe as needed would that make a difference you think?

i am part of that forum have been for years but i like you guys better not really asking on what would fit the truck better just trying to figure out the difference in the two so i know which way to go only cherry bomb experiance i have is the glass pack tubes

on both of my applications it was a cat-back system.....oin my dads truck it went from a resonater and 2 mufflers....and now the dynomax system just have the 1 superturbo muffler on it....but again not loud until u get on it (same in my TA) just a nice little purr at idle

well my muffler problems are solved not exatcly what i wanted but it was free i found a cherrybomb glass pack behind my buddies tool box at work now i just gotta get a few couplings and peice it all together

Before you hack and slash, spend a few bucks or wait till you can. Cherry bombs are loud, and crappy.

Are their two mufflers on that truck? If there is try getting rid of one first.

Dropped/Fully Shaved and smoothed exterior and engine bay/VPA door kit/Viper red RN/C5 wagon wheels
