No matter what i do on my 95 tahoe or anyones model tahoe and year they have 88-95 i can never get a firm brake pedal. It is always spongy and sucks. I've ripped off the rear end cleaned them all off and replaced everything. Played with the adjusters got them really tight so barelly any play in it. they still suck after bench bleeding and one man bleeding and i re bleed the system twice by hand..

I need your guys help. I would love for once to have a good brake pedal.

LINES ARE ALL BRAND NEW NO LEAKS OR ANYTHING!

There are lots of tips and tricks to getting a firm pedal. First would be all new fluid. DOT3 if I recall. Also, replace all rubber brake hoses. Make sure to bleed in order, pass rear, driver rear, pass front, driver front.

Some cars have better brakes then others. It is just the way GM made them. I have the same pedal in my truck.

Did you at least bleed the entire system? Old brake fluid could also be a little downfall....ss lines would solve the remaining but i wouldn't put that much money into brakes on something that isn't high performance, doesn't tow much and is known for not great brakes...remember its a 5k vehicle and isn't going to stop like a 3rd gen.

I have a 92 gmc pickup the pedal has never been firm but has adequate braking. I also have a 06 f350 which has kinda a soggy pedal and that has massive brakes on it so much so i need 18 inch rims to clear the calipers and they the pads are twice the size of my fbody. The more mass the vehicle has the harder it will be to stop it. I would suggest maybe a better grade of pad which will help but also wear down faster. The best option though is to beef up the system stainless lines and larger diameter rotors. I know with the 4gen lt1 camaros a lot of people do this by pulling the from spindles/knuckles and calipers off of a ls1 camaros. You may possibly be able to pull a beefier setup of a 3/4-1ton truck at the junk yard. i would definitely do some research before i did that though.

That's how the trucks are from that year, I've done three of them full size tahoes and they all have the same shitty brakes, I'm pleased my new ride has hydrolic brakes

Yeah I realized that. I've possibly done everything to try to fix it. I think i am going to move out the adjusters on the drums just a little bit more so there is no play at all. Yeah i bleed the correct way from the RR to LR Then To RF-LF. Did it 3 times changed the fluid. Still pisses me off. But i guess it works just is really close to floor when it really starts to lock up.

Heard About that but it's my winter beater. Doesn't need to be that good. And i also have EBC Semi-metallic. Anti Squeak and all the good stuff. The pads are nice though. Improved the stop by 30%.

What are you comparing the braking to? Your old yukon? Hopefully not the saturn or camaro you had/have.
