About $ 300....it's pretty cool...made in the USA! connects between the ECU and the injectors and cuts off the injector on random cylinders if you let off, coast, or just cruise. When you accelerate...all cylinders are go. It says up to 25% savings, depending on how you drive.

Might be a smart investment. I have the factory GM system on my Silverado and if I drive it right and keep my tires at the proper pressure I get very good fuel mileage.

How is that going to work? Modern systems collapse the lifters on the deactivated cylinders to keep the valves closed. This causes a spring effect inside the cylinder when the air inside is compressed. It is using HP to compress the air, but giving it back when the piston is on its way down. I seriously doubt deactivating the injector to that cylinder, and still having the cylinder waste HP to compress air is going to net anything but an engine with a miss.

Good question...however, it seems it only cuts out injectors when you're not asking for power..ie when you're coasting downhill, or decelerating. I'm not sure what this box does when you're sitting and idling......I think it must also use the VSS on the car and only start cutting when the car is moving.
>Mike..I'll look into it.
