I had purchased it from snap on. Not nearly enough torque and not really small enough to reach in real tight spaces. Thought it would be usefull because It looked so innovative. Its got some power but it cant do anything you cant do by hand. I sold it after realizing I would never truly need it. It was cool though.

Wait..did u buy a snap on version? Cause i know for a fact that my IR 1/2 " impact gun outperforms all of snap on guns..the snap ons are much heavier and less torque. I compared it at a shop with a couple of the best guns they had.

Dave..its an impact..hammer type..so very minimal knuckle busting

Pretty sure snap on doesnt make one. I got it from my snap on dealer through the RWD cataloge when it was on special last year when it first came out.

I actually have the IR ti2135 and the IR thunder gun. The thunder gun is way too heavy which is why I use it at home instead of the shop. I bought it for more RPMS and higher BPM though @ 600 ft/lb doest really impress me.

I have used the snap on MG725 (three people in my shop own it) and it outperforms any IR. BUT for double the price it doesnt offer double the performance so IMO its not "really" worth it. Its also heavy and super noisy.

IMHO the IR ti2135 is still the best value for cost/power/weight ratio. But as far as torque there are other brands out there than beat out IR. Nitrocat uses clutches instead of hammers which is nice and smooth, mac makes another version of the nitrocat which is apparently the same thing just rebranded. Chicago pnumatic(not harbor freight) also makes another model with 900+ ft/lbs I do not know the model off hand. Cp makes some of the best pnumatic tools

The hammer head was something like 180 ft/lbs, though vertical its still pretty lame.

Hmm interesting..im gunna go back to the shop and see what exact model numbers those guns were...cause those guys were even impressed on how the ir was lighter and stronger..

Now im even more interested to see how this ratchet does..cause it did get alot of good reviews..none of the mechanics i know have.this ratchet..

Dont get me wrong it was cool, and innovative. But I just didnt see the use for it. I can loosen things with a long handle 1/2 ratchet and then use a air ratchet if the threads to long to do by hand. 275$ or whatever it was is better spent somewhere else.

Sure Its possible that I could have saved a few seconds time by using it but I wouldn't be able to make my money back in jobs. I think I used the money from that towards a power probe III, now wishing I got the Power Probe "hook" which does more than the III

Lisles sealed coolant funnel is priceless. It is a lifesaver, it takes the air out of cooling systems easier than any machine.
