Don't worry, I won't. :P

I'm strictly anti-cosplay outside of a convention or Halloween. Seriously. Anybody who cosplays outside needs to grow up. It's okay when you're in a convention because it's kind of like pissing in a sea of piss. Nobody cares. But people who do it outside are usually just attention-whoring teenagers who write crappy poetry and need to get a life. For everyone else's sake. They just make themselves look stupid and make us embarrassed for even seeing them dressed in their ridiculous outfits. I just can't believe that people actually do that sort of thing.

So who would you rather meet in real life? A whiny teenage cosplayer or a child molestor who goes strictly for Asians?

Because I'm kinda embarassed by both..

Both are embarrassing, but I'll be honest. I'd go for the latter. Child molesters look like regular-looking people. You can't even discern them unless they actually do something. Whiny cosplayers look stupid and assail everyone's ears with their ridiculous complaints.

Look at how many offenders there are in my area: http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/1989/mapsc3.jpg

So, they're all over the place. I haven't been molested yet, so I don't really worry too much.

Whoa, that's ridiculous. What the hell is wrong with people? So many weirdos...

There's probably a con in Lansing or Ann Arbor or some large city, though those are an hour and a half away...granted, if I really wanted to it probably wouldn't stop me, it irks me though. Other than one friend I can't see anyone for sure wanting to if the opportunity came up, and he has no money. Two others might, though might is a funny word. Even though I would probably find it as ridiculous as you guys do, I'd like to try it just once, for the experience at least. Even though it's artificial and a poor imitation, the culture of such an event would be very interesting to be in.

If it's not too expensive, it's probably worth the experience, especially if you find yourself enjoying anime. I went last year to Auroracon, even though I hadn't touched anime in a long time. It was probably worth it for the laughs. Unfortunately, there were a lot of fanboys who obviously couldn't keep themselves from looking at me, because I was, like, the only Asian girl there, and I was accompanied by a couple of my Asian boy mobster friends. And after going, you'll be like, "Whew, I look pretty normal compared to these freaks..."

For the record, there are a lot more sex offenders in Anchorage. So I don't consider it to be that bad. And everywhere has them. Try the website and look for sex offenders in your area; I can pretty much promise you that there's a lot of them. We were looking at places where we live and then posting pictures of the best-looking ones. Or weird-looking ones. It was kind of funny.

I looked at that site - oddly enough, there's not much around my area, but there are a few rapists and kiddy-touchers where I used to spend my childhood - I didn't live there, but my grandma did before she died. So I was there a lot. It seemed like a weird town, anyways. And it still is..

There's the one for my area. Definitely more of 'em than I figured, kinda scary. Most are kind in a cluster too, heh. Interesting at any rate.

Haha. It would be nice to feel normal among freaks, or something. I also want to go merely to see the weeaboos and the crazy fanboys/girls that you always mention having at your school, since there were none at mine. If I start watching Yu-Yu Hakusho again that'll make me want to be Urimeshi, doesn't seem like it'd take a ton of effort to make his costume. One of my friends is like, 6'4, so he could be Kuwabara, well, Kuwabara +1 anyways, I don't think he had that much height on Yurimeshi. One of the others could be Hiei or something. Heh. I'll have to look into things and see where the closest one is, would be fun when summer hits.

Sorry, guys. My keyboard is on the fritz. I think it had enough typing, lol.

I don't know. I have mixed feelings about the weeaboos. On one hand, they're totally annoying and don't know how to conduct themselves. They don't understand social rules. For example, they don't know what an "indoor voice" is. They don't know when it's appropriate for them to butt into conversations. And so on. Sometimes, it's too much for me to handle.

One of them has been getting on my nerves. I understand she's new and trying to fit in, but she tries to identify with me in, like, every single way. I asked my friend in Japanese about whether or not she's seen Haruhi before, and the weeaboo girl was like, "OH, have you seen that?! I love it!" It didn't surprise me; she has candidly told me that she goes to /a/, which is an anime image board. And /a/ likes Haruhi, too. But any conversation that might have relevence to her is like, her chance to bust in. I'm not really a picky person in real life, so I would never actually say any of this stuff, but seriously, you just don't go busting into conversations unless you have something good to add. And even then, you do it with care. Unfortunately, I think this would fly right over their little heads. That, and you don't shout out what you like to the world, who really doesn't care that much about what you like.

There were quite a few child molesters and rapists around places where I live. But I'm not too concerned, really. Just because they molest one person doesn't mean that they'll molest every single person that they can get their hands on. I suppose it's possible, but it just doesn't seem likely.

Heh...you said "mixed feelings" and then said "on one hand", but never told what you don't mind about them, so that didn't really seem mixed at all :P

I don't think I've known anyone who has done that, at least not that much. I suppose since she's new she wants to make an impact and get to know people, she'll quickly get filed under "annoying" though and then it'll be hard to recover from that, or something. Though I suppose regardless of their popularity, you can't escape annoying people.

/a/, /b/...how many of these single letter boards are there? Are they all part of 4chan?

It's true some people only do certain things once, but then again they know not to do it in the first place, so I think it's fitting that they are "branded". Unless it's an accident or they are somehow framed, but I would certainly like to assume that those cases are in the minority.

Argh, I just wrote this long response, and then I clicked post right as my internet disconnected itself. I couldn't even navigate back to salvage it. Damn this shitty internet access. Ah, well, I'll write it later. My mom's lazy, so I doubt I'll get the keyboard fixed anytime soon.

I should know enough to copy my posts before I submit them. Heh.

Anyways, 4chan is the asshole of the internet. I mean that in two ways. First, Anonymous is a total asshole, as in, like, a jerk. Heh. We like it like that. And second, it's the anus of the internet. If it's out on the internet, you can find porn or hentai of it on 4chan or any other of the various chans. By the way, that's called Internet Rule 34. But I break the first and second rules, plus the one about "There are no girls on the interbutt".

I think that first appearances and stuff can go either way. You can make a good impression, and you can make a bad impression. Weeaboos tend to make bad first impressions. Even if I don't do good outside of my circles, I'm decent enough so that people will generally assume I'm okay. And if I can pull this off, weeaboos should, too. Of course, it never happens that way, though. I've been new a bunch of times and botched the situation many times. I know that weeaboos should be able to do at least as much as I do.

The mixed feelings part isn't just a lie. Some weeaboos are really quite nice people. And to be honest, it's not a bad feeling, being idolized by some of them. Whether it's because of my brains, my strange charisma in my established groups, or just my Asian-ness, I don't know. It could be a combination of all three, really. Some of them call me "Master Ky", some call me "Super Asian", etc. But I mean something to these people. I see the look of admiration and interest in their faces whenever I'm in the general vicinity. It's strange, but not necessarily a bad feeling all of the time. I think that groups in high school tend to form a multi-branched pecking order. I'm still climbing up the ladder, and they usually stay put. It's just the way things go. Still, I get a lot of admiration for a lot of my traits, and that's not really a bad thing.

Branded or not, I don't really care if they're sex offenders, because they're walking around everywhere and I have yet to actually be jumped and molested. Yet. And I've, like, run away before when I was young and highly exploitable, in an area with a bunch of child molesters, so I really doubt about whether or not I'll actually get myself into a tight spot.

Wow... you guys seem to have a big thing about weeaboos. O_o Lucky for me, I'm not Asian (Asian girls think the guys are too geeky anyways, so I'd never get one) so I don't have to worry about being the next American Weeaboo Idol.

In other news - the other topics got abandonisized... bummer. :(

It's hard for me not to. Everywhere I turn at school, there's a weeaboo shouting off one of my random names that I have. They vex me, for the most part. But since I'm considered cool by them, I get some things. Lol. I almost feel shameful about it. Like, I can get candy off of weeaboos that I don't even talk to, just because of my reputation. Unfortunately, the reputation of weeaboos tends to wear off on me, and since it's not a good thing, I slightly suffer as well.

Being Asian has its ups and downs. Apparently, guys like them, but I guess that's not really a plus for me. But everyone is usually anti-teenager, with a propensity to blame teenagers for things. Still, I manage to escape most of it, simply because I'm Asian. I can even trigger alarms in stores and everyone will just say sarcastically, "Heh, yeah right, THAT's the most threatening kid I've ever seen. Yeeeeep." Affirmative action works against us, though. If you're Asian, you actually have less of a chance of getting in. Ugh. Well, at least (according to others), I can be pretty good-looking, so that often plays a positive note on my appearance.

Oh, also, lol, the other topics. I'm sure that they'll come back. Or at least once V-Day is over, and we have stories to share.

In other news, BOOM tie fighters PEWPEWPEWPEWPEW

lol lol lol

See? XD

Indeed.

Actually, I don't know what to think. I have a zombie keyboard. It died last night, and I tried everything, including disconnecting and connecting and restarting, and it wasn't alive, so I had to hop on the Ghetto Laptop (tm) to do all my internet surfing. And now it's just fine today. My mom went out and got a keyboard... I don't really know what I'll say to her. I just hope I won't be beaten too badly.

This isn't like some "Any Key" BS though. Seriously. This thing was dead last night, and should have been in the recycle pile today. Technology is so unreliable.

I used to have that problem A LOT. You might remember it from the old boards, where I might have mentioned it. I can't remember that one. :P

But regardless, I had troubles with my keyboard to where it would always hit Ctrl or Shift by itself, so if I was trying to type out "every", then randomly a key would activate (without me touching it) so it's either E or Ctrl+E, which I don't know what that is in Firefox, but in IE it's the Search function.

Oh, and somehow I would be typing out multiple Euro dollar symbols on MSN or AIM, and MSN when I hit a letter, then the Emoticon window comes up.. it was crazy. Though I think it may have been the computer as well, but I'm betting more on the keyboard.

I thought about using my laptop today to work on learning Flash again, but I got caught up and time just flew by, so.. oh well.

I'm just glad it works. Typing on the Ghetto Laptop (tm) is a little difficult, not to mention the net crashes every few minutes, so...

I should be re-reading Brave New World right now. We're doing it for class. Actually, I liked it, a lot more than 1984. I thought it was interesting. Huxley has some good ideas. But I do have some sort of controversy in mind over some of the techniques they use, so it's not exactly a feasible future. At least, not in the way that it is in the book.
