Ok guys, so here's the deal: I have this lock-in at my school (it's for all of the International Baccalaureate (read: smart) kids), and it's on October 27th. I've had several ideas as to what I should be (google image search or wiki what I'm talking about if you're lazy):

1. Black afro, business suit, red tie. (Google or Wiki "Pool's Closed" for more info)
2. A penguin-like suit (Google/Wiki "Prinny")
3. A ninja (I did this last year, and I wore all black. It could be too hot and stuffy in that outfit because I'm going to be indoors the majority of the time, I'd like to avoid it if possible)
4. Kilik or Maxi, sort of (with the no-shirt, open-vest thing, it'd be pretty hot...except for the fact that I have an incredibly hairy chest...D:)
5. *Your suggestion here*

I'd actually really like to get into Halloween this year. It's the last one before I go off to college. If you've got a suggestion, post it here.

EDIT: Just so you know, this is actually a serious thread.

Ninja would be cool, but you'd have to wear something really light. Oh, and you should have, like, something covering your eyes, and a straw hat, and fake kama, lol.

Frankly, I think it would be hilarious if you went as a Domo-kun.

Or you could dress as a Japanese schoolboy. As much as the schoolboy uniforms such, we could parade around. And you could convince people that you were actually from Japan. After all, one of the camp teachers was actually raised in Japan, even if she was Caucasian, so you could go around with an Engrish accent and stuff. Hahaha.

I've got a simple question that I feel is very important to this pressing issue (still being serious here):

It's not cosplay if it's Halloween, right? So I can dress up as game characters without feeling like a total weeaboo, right? I'm unsure as to the rules on this particular problem.

Uh, I don't think I would care. Lol. I wouldn't see anybody as a weeaboo for doing that, on Halloween. After all, when there's an appropriate occasion, it's fine and "normal".

But if you're trying to do handstands to prove you're Asian or anything like that... A different story. XD

Dress up like a hobo, little effort is needed to make the costume.

Go as a pirate.

And not the gay pirates you see with the red bandana, red scarf, peg-leg, eyepatch and a parrot. I'm talkin, V-neck torn and dirty cloth shirt, cloth pants that are not only high-waters, but torn and those leather buckle boots. The eyepatch would probably work.

Or you could do cosplay. You'd probably do good with that guy from Bleach--don't remember his name, though.

Mk. Let's get one thing straight here, and I'm going to make it perfectly clear:

I would NEVER EVER, under ANY circumstances, cosplay. Capisce? Basically, it goes against all my moral and social principles (which I may end up ranting about later, I dunno), and is just generally a bad idea to begin with. That being said, I point to the fact that I said something along the lines of Kilik or Maxi, not specifically either one of the two.

Although the pirate idea does sound interesting...

Ohnoez, never give up your alligence with the ninja! Lol.

Actually, that would be kinda funny, going as a hobo. But that's kind of a hard thing to guess, for some people, so maybe it wouldn't be the best idea...

Mk, so the people who have left comments on my cross-post on my blog (they're the ones that actually go to my school, mind you) think I should dress up as the penguin. What I'm probably going to end up doing is the knight/afro thing, but with the right combination of materials I think I could be pretty much whatever I wanted to.

Not nessacarily, just slap on a fake grubby beard. Wear out some clothes you haven't worn in a while and dirty them as fast as you can. Then do not clean and wear your shoes for weeks. This may take a while to make the costume, but you will be the best Hobo, hands down.

The ninja sounds good and practical though.

Cosplay as Hanzo Hattori, he's pretty awesome but you will probably be against the whole cosplaying thing.

Funny how Hattori Hanzo was the guy from Kill Bill. XD

I know who you mean, though. Rachel made me a sig and avi set with Hanzo.
