As Lenneth Valkyrie says, "And you." Yes, it is great, indeed. I believe "kiddo"'s connotation isn't quite accurate, as I am older, I believe. But it matters not. For better or for worse, I'm considered a moekko even by my juniors (in age), so I'm quite used to it. But I'm also a tsunderekko, which is slightly different, I suppose. I guess English doesn't really have a translation for that, just as Japanese has no simple translation for "jaywalking" (which is something like "disregarding traffic rules and crossing anyways"). |

Oh, the irony. XD I remember the chiasmus, "When you have nothing to say, say nothing." But your words are kind of ambiguous. My words, or yours? Mine are sort of stream-of-conscious-type. That's kind of how I work. But if it brings conversation, then it's worth it, is it not? |

I see. Well, that's pretty straightforward :P. It was off-topic, a little. But V-Day is about relationships, to be frank, and tsundere is relationship-related. I suppose I get credit for derailing a topic; that would only be fair. But not completely, unless it's a monologue, and forums aren't for that. I don't think that people should need a holiday, either. It's nice for one day, for a refresher, but it shouldn't be every day. Every day is a day to give love. Or it should be, for those who choose to do so. No holiday is really needed for that. |

I love Nell to death, I really do. But I, too, agree with that statement. I give her the same attention every day as I would on Valentine's, so I really doubt a serious relationship needs a day other than an anniversary to show how much someone cares about their significant other. And on a side note, I would say to stop fighting, but it was actually kinda entertaining. But arguing costs posters, and posters costs activity, and I don't like declaring bankruptcy on activity, dang it. So shush, both of you. You both give valid points, and I will say I'm impressed that you have something to back up your arguments, so I'll throw in a mediator: There is a common ground here somewhere, though I'm having trouble seeing what it is. So perhaps you two can help on that, yah? ^_^ |

Only thing I can think of is that we agree to disagree, perhaps.
Sometimes, that's the best you can do.I think "arguments" work both ways. They can attract or repel. Frankly, I lurk at some forums just for the arguments. I would join, too, but I don't really like biting off more than I can chew; it's somewhat of a personal problem that doesn't apply to some people. We do need new people, though, that's for sure. It can get stale without more people. |

I had a decent Valentine's Day. Pro: Talked to Rachel! Con: Had to work and I'm spent for cash, so I couldn't do anything especially romantic. BAh. Oh well, I'm already saving up for next year!

Yeah, I had to work on V-Day as well, and that was a weird day for the most part, but my lunch break was awesome. Reason being, Nell had sent me a very uplifting email, so that was especially great. We would up spending it together anyways, and next year, as I previously mentioned, we're celebrating Valentine's one month later because on the 14th of March is our anniversary. Oh, and it'll be in person this time. |

I just read through the thread because I thought it would be interesting to see what people were going to say. Kairi, I pretty much figured that you were going to mention something along the lines of "but how can we know what true love really is?" Stop with the Wittgenstein/philosophical approach. It's irritating when people use it when talking about things like love. And um, ESH, using the "Oh, you just don't understand because you've never been in love, just wait until you're older!" thing is pretty condescending as well. I'm only seventeen and I think I know fairly well what love feels like for me. Anyway, now that we've got all that sort of cleared up, I'm glad to see that the vast majority of you guys had a rather pleasant Valentine's Day. Although, seriously, some of you guys need to tone it down a little bit, you're starting to sound corny and make me want to laugh. But either way, you're still probably a lot better off than me, so I'll shut the hell up. |

Corny is good, and I'm glad that we have that effect. Life should be laughs. I hardly even touch anything that's serious nowadays, to be honest. It's mostly for the lulz. Though I guess you can't tell that online. In any case, though, I'm obviously not an idealistic person. I don't consider it right or wrong, necessarily; it's just another way to view things. Kind of like the Necker Cube. But I think it's better than all of us nodding heads and agreeing with everything that everyone says. I don't know about the "better-off" thing. Sure, some people have significant others or are content with their situations. But actually, it's not like everyone's hooked up. Or, at least, not in my mind. My older brother didn't get a girlfriend until he got to college, and he's a pretty average guy. It might seem like bad, but on the bright side, you're seventeen; there's quite a few years ahead of you. Perhaps it might be nice to have some experience before you enter college and having the official crisis thrust upon you, but it doesn't necessarily mean that you'll be doomed. |

That's the good thing about being a teenager. And the thing I miss about it. Trial and error. You can go through so much as a teen, and really it somehow erases itself as you turn 18. Needless to say, all my shit still follows me because I've got a fucked-up family, and even before I turned 18, I had my first real online relationship. Yeah, an oxymoron, but it was the first one to have real feelings. Come to think of it, I look back at all my old online "relationships" before the "real" one, and I can't help but laugh. One girl actually changed her username on Yahoo to go with mine. "i_love_aaronc900" and something else, too. Her name was Kim, I think. Weirdness, and she was like, obsessed. And a few years younger than me... it's funny now. But anyways, love is something that likes to sneak up on you.. like a yellow duck. Blue ducks are nice. Those are the ducks I welcome most. Yellow ducks, that usually means something bad is approaching. Yeah, I'm rambling. It's an inside joke between me and Nell. Something we have a lot of, because we is a couple. |
