Don't you both find it very interesting that one of the bears was interested in the camera? Do you think it was able to hear it or that it spotted something strange and knew it was out of place?

That's the second one that did that Billy.....

The first one heard it, because it flinched and then looked at the camera.....when it switches to video another lense flips down and it makes a slight click....

I have a ladder but there was so much ice on the ridge when I set this last one up I didn't bring the ladder....it was bad enough getting there with the backpack alone.....

This one I think may have smelled it, I had cleaned the camera but forgot my gloves so I was all over the camera after setting it up, and it was low enough for it to check it out......

Once I can get it up higher it will really cut down on the sound heard etc.......

Gold-e-loxs....LOL Tom......

Hey Shboom,

It's a Moultrie 6.0 IR

Paid $299.00 for it plus a 2g card but I want to put a 4g in it this Spring and leave it out for a stretch......

What I love about it is the video. You can set it to take 30 second clips like the one I posted and it will also shoot a still with the video so you get the time, moon phase, temp.....at night it defaults to B&W but you still get good video imo and a still....

Here are a couple links...

All the videos are from this camera.....

The stills are a mix of cameras but the ones with the B&W strip are from this one........

If it's where I'm thinking see if you can mount it up high on the side of the house (using a ladder).....this way if they are climbing all over the place it will be hard to reach, because chances are good they won't want it there and will climb a tree for it if you put it in a tree there, so the flat of the house where they can't scale the house is probably the best place for it .....if the layout there is right, not sure what the place is set up like.....it comes with a fitting in the back that you can unscrew to tilt it when you mount it high, and if you need more downward angle from the house you should be able to slip a small copper pipe over the fitting it comes with so you can hit the backyard with it........
