Actually, I think you may have the night time thing down right.
I think they're more comfortable at night and will become more "open" with themselves at night.
Night time is another form of cover.
It isn't easy to conceal something the size of a squatch and I believe it will instinctively use concealment for itself at every opportunity.

Night time or late evening is when I've had things thrown at me also.
Night time or late evening is when I've heard the majority of vocals, not all, but the majority.
I've seen eyeshine at night also, but in order to remain honest and objective, I have to attribute it to, "it could be anything" as I was unable to see at least a portion of what head the eyes were in.
I've only heard knocks once and that was at late afternoon directly after I was growled at and the critter fled.

As stated above, I generally hear more at night but see more in the afternoon to late evening.
Not trying to be sarcastic but we humans don't see so good after dark or we would probably pee all over ourselves with what's actually going on after the sun goes down.

If you guys are near where you have had these encounters and can go for about 4-5 hours at least a couple of times a month, consider going back in the daytime and just walk around slow and quiet, looking around.
Pay more attention to your surroundings rather than each other.
I dunno whether to mention this or not, but it does make a difference, look around further than ten feet around you, study things as far away as you can see as well as those things close to you.
When I'm walking, I'm looking at everything closer to me, when I stop, I'm looking at everything further away from me as well as what's close to me.
I'm walking at such a slow pace that I have time to at least try and notice everything, which is impossible but I try.

Regarding things thrown:
Another fella I used to talk to had stones thrown at him.
I don't question his story as I had never caught the fella in a lie and he wasn't prone to blow things out of proportion.
He was in an area that had some form of fruit tree and it was over a hill out of site.
He was headed there to look around.
As he topped the hill he was under fire.
He was never struck but to paraphrase his words, large rocks were going past his head faster than a baseball pitcher could throw a hardball and to close for comfort.
It bothered him enough that he bought a 454 Desert Eagle as he felt if one of those stones had connected he would have been dead.
I myself bought a slingshot and a couple sacks of marbles I carry on occasion, I figure if they want to throw things I can also.

Regarding the full moon:
I've been asked before if I think the moon itself may affect things.
My answer is yes and no.
First, it's just a big rock and it's the same kind of rock we have here on earth.
Being full or half/quarter whatever isn't going to psychologically change anything.
It's a rock.
It's a rock that sometimes has a shadow across it to one degree or another.
Having a shadow across it doesn't mean it has disappeared.
What does change is the amount of light available for everything to see with, so if there is more light to see with, things will be more noticeable.
In light of that, during a full moon is a good time to be out looking as things are a little easier to see.
We've all been outside during a full moon and noticed we didn't even need a flashlight as things were so bright.
May I borrow some of your patience please? Mine ran out long ago......Fletch.

Again, as we've said before, regardless of whether or not these formations are Bigfoot related or not, why not at least document them.

I used to billy as I have always disagreed with the majority concerning them.
After awhile I had just about a dozen small notebooks full of notes, everything already in my memory and nobody to show it all to.
They were eventually trashed.
The only reason I have any pics left is because they're online and I dunno the password to the site anymore.
All I have is a cast that was given me and I dunno where it is and the pointed stick in my filing cabinet.
I've been online maybe 8-9 years or so and gave up with the idea I'll prove something to someone in probably less than the first two years.
I know what I know and I also know if there was anyone close enough to me with the free time and interest I could prove what I know is fact.
And I would do it in an area I've never been in before to make it a clean shot.
I've already done it a couple of times.
Once in Louisiana to three people and once in Ohio to one person.
The lady I now live with was a non-believer.
She isn't anymore.
She's from Ohio btw. ;)

Just in case others here are curious, I mentioned full moon in my last post because it allowed me the light to see the bigfoot. I did "not" mention the full moon because of its possible psychological effects from gravitational changes or dim lighting effects.

Fledge, you're good people. Some day, I'm want like to go Bfing with you. Look me up if you visit Virginia and if it is OK with you, I will do the same if I in your area. Billy and I know that success doesn't happen every time we go into the woods. As I have told Billy, going Bfing into the woods and not finding any possible Bf related stuff, but finding all sorts of neat views, flora, and fauna is like going fishing and catching no more than one or two fish, it is considered to be a "good day." However, going Bfing into the woods and finding all sorts of possible Bf related stuff is like going fishing and catching bunch of fish, it is a "great day." Either way, whether it is a "good day" or "great day," we win.

Didn't mean to make anything sound like it was implied that you suggested anything psychological about the moon.
I used to be a member of a group, me and Indy both.
We would all pile up in paltalk and folks would come in with questions like that and some a whole lot more really out there stuff.
I helped with their message board, later had one of my own and was a mod of a few more and add on top of that being a member of even more.
I seriously doubt anyone could ask a question I havn't already been asked, I therefore tend to anticipate questions in advance.

On me coming to Virginia, ya never know and thx for the invite.
If you're ever in my area, wherever I happen to be, bring your own food and some good boots and hop in the truck. :)
P.S. Don't forget the TP and skeeter dope.

Oh, I forgot to mention that my oldest daughter had a sighting at dusk over a year ago near Richmond, Virginia. My wife and three kids were walking out of an area that has had multiple sighting reports. After walking about 100 feet past an area that smelled terrible (Strong rotten eggs, sulfur odor), my daughter looked back and saw a nine footer cross the abandoned dirt road were were walking on... She has not gone into the woods of any significant length of time since then..

Been awhile since I posted but things like life tend to happen.
We had originally intended on moving to Kentucky but that got changed and put off.
The other half of this relationship has kinfolk in Wayne county West Virginia and we're going to try and move to that area possibly the first part of this coming year.
I've been to that area a few times for her family reunions.
Not much more than tree's, big hills and goat trails they claim are roads.
We may get to hook up and kill some skeeters,,, never know.
An update also for where we were living in Arkansas at the time I started this thread.
We had numerous sitings of the same animal for several nights.
An acquaintance had a cam and he got a sound track of the noise it was making.
The fella made the video and put it on Youtube.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViBF6UMOiV4

Can't see anything but you can hear it squawking.

We went to Pat Mayse Lake a few times tromping around which is just outside of Paris, Texas.
Had some very quick sitings a couple of times and found a few bows.
Not much more sorry to say.

Btw,, I've been actively looking for others who would consider the feasibility of actually possibly taking one of these things.
I myself feel it can be done and humanely, but not by a single person by themself.
If we do relocate to that area and anyone has an interest, lemme know.
If anyone wishes to discuss it, again , lemme know and I'll do so privately or publicly.
One thing, if one is taken and I'm a member of the party doing so, we sure as heck ain't gonna jam it in a freezer and call any news stations.
