Shippax has reported that Balearia Eurolineas has ambitious expansion plans. It is said that Balearia wish to add 6 ships to its fleet. It reports that the Visentini newbuild under construction for Stena RoRo will be chartered to them. Another Visentini will also be chartered, if not from Stena RoRo.

The Stena ship will replace Meloodia on the Valencia - Palma route.

Also, they report that other ships will be delivered from Barreas, Vigo to the same design of the Transmanche Ferries/Armas ships. The first ship will be delivered in 2008 and operate the Denia services.

Also, in 2009 it is written that Barreas will deliver a new 190m ro-pax to operate the Barcelona - Palma route, replacing Pau Casals.
