From here The last sentence is interesting - not really sure how it can be more profitable to ground aircraft then fly them. If ryanair dislike BAA and Stansted so much, then why not move to Luton? The airline does have a point - the queues for security at arrivals in Stansted are horrendous - we had to wait for at least 30 minutes-an hour at 11pm to get through. |

Because Ryanair are full of crap, they will never leave Stansted, and don't believe in what they are saying, Dublin is a different story, they are taking the government body formally known as Aer Riannta (now the DAA, with snazzy logo) to court over Terminal 2 in Dublin, calming they could build and operate it for less (they also want to lease Cork's old terminal), only problem, Ryanair are an airline, since when did they know anything about running airports?!? I am presuming it will cost less to take the air craft out of service than landing and handling fees for keeping them operational. Ryanair glorified bus service is a monster, it slashes costs and kills the competition, and will kill it's self, it's failed attempt to take over Aer Lingus is proof of this, as it is their intent to operate EI as upmarket airline... Sorry, I'm in a mood today... |
