Regular Forum Aberdare Range
The Aberdare Range is a large expanse of mountains that covers most of the Northern side of the continent. The grey-stone mountains reach high into the sky and you can see them from almost everywhere you go. The peaks are always snow-capped and during winter, the whole mountain range looks like a giant block of ice. Many caves dot the outside, and the inside is filled with a complex tangle of tunnels. Small prey enjoy frolicking around in the thick vegetation around the base, and mountain sheep live higher up.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) Rhine River
This fast-flowing river is unforgiving to those that do not respect its power. The Rhine is fed by the melting snows and the natural springs of the mountain, and endless supply of fresh water. Throughout the mountain, the river is hard to find, but as it exits, there is a massive waterfall that plunges over a hundred feet into the continuation of the river below. There are many rapids throughout the river, and one best avoid those. However, there are a few calm areas that are pleasant enough to swim and play in. And besides, the entire river is crystal clear, who wouldn't want to enjoy the cold, crisp waters?

This forest is made of mostly evergreen trees; pines and a few aspen. The branches are woven tightly together in most places and the forest in general is dark. There are many clearings here though, and each is filled with lush grasses and pretty flowers. The earthen floor is covered with dark peat and an assortment of different leaves. The many rocks that dot the forest floor are covered in a variety of mosses. Large ungulates graze in the clearings, and smaller creatures can be found almost anywhere.

Charter Pack

Regular Forum (No New Posts) Lanai Hills
A massive expanse of large hills that jut from the ground in a rather awkward manner. Some are taller, some rounder, and some that are just raised lumps in the ground. However, each one is covered in lush green grasses and colorful flowers. Patches of dirt collect near the bottoms, and there are trenches dug in some by the torrents of the weather, but each still holds its own beauty. The hills form somewhat of a semi-circle around the territory and in the center is a large valley, something you would see in movies. It is rumored that there are hot springs in the area.

Regular Forum (No New Posts) Skule Lake
This lake is surrounded by a thick grove of trees, many of which are willows that tower above the rest. By day, the shores are pleasant and the water clear. The edges are surrounded by reeds and thick vegetation, and the shores dip into shallow pools that are perfect for play. The abandoned dock makes a great jumping platform, and the house is all to monotonous. But by night, the trees take on a menacing appearance, shadows can be seen lurking in the center of the lake, the shores appear to be coated in goo and the whole scene seems to be coated in black.

The trees here are big and leafy, many oaks and maples fill the area. However, the trees here are very spaced out and the forest itself is open. The trees do not provide much coverage, and in all the tree pattern makes it look more like an expansion of the valley. There are few rocks here and the minimal shade means that most plants won't thrive. However, many small animals live here and you can always find some larger grazers if you try.

If you take all the eccentrics in the world and throw them in the middle of the woods you will come up with the residents of this tribe. Their lives are filled with studying the ways of nature and the worship the wolf... They know medicinal plants and will aid any wolves if they are injured or hungry. Wolf-kin who are not cut out for live in the pack often go and join these humans. Wolves are encouraged NOT to steel from these people. The tribe itself is always changing in structure and size. The best way to describe it is homes scattered around one central point - the hut where the wolves and dogs live.

This is the transition forest between the two other parts of the Rothrock Forest. Filled with pines and aspen as well as oaks and maples, the trees are all endlessly tall and cover the whole ground with shade except in a few clearings here and there. Where there aren't trees, bushes make their homes nestled between the trees and small critters make their homes in the bushes. There are also a few rocky paths, but no where as many as in the mountain forests.

A small town in a big woods, the people in this town know how to survive. The town itself may be small, but it has everything a self-reliant forest town needs including a tavern, a central well, a main grassy square for recreation and livestock, farms surrounding the town itself, and a continuous three foot wall built around the whole thing. While the wall doesn't do too good a job of keeping things out, it's a good border-marker for creatures who can't scent-mark their territory. A perfect way to warn foolish young wolves from wandering in dangerous lands... right?
