Wolves are usually found to be living in close knit groups known as packs. This is the case here as well. However, the packs follow a very specific rank system that determines almost everything you can do in the pack.

These are listed in order of importance, make sure you do not overstep your boundaries in the pack. The alphas may not be to happy with you.

- Alphas
Alphas are the highest ranking wolves in the pack, they are to be respected. They alpha pair is always a mating pair of wolves that have a close bond. These wolves make the rules in their pack lands and expect you to follow them. In general, they are not afraid to discipline anyone who disobeys. It is the job of the alpha pair to keep the pack in order and to recruit new members. They know what is going on between wolves in their own pack, and have a general knowledge of the other packs as well. They make the calls on what is going on at a certain time, and can call meetings and hunts whenever they please. Even in personal decisions, they must do what is right for the pack. The female leads the females and the male leads the males but both are equally respected by both genders of any age.

- Betas
The Betas in a wolf pack play a very similar role as the Alphas. Betas are usually looked upon as second in command, taking over while the alphas are not present. They are able to make the same decisions and have the same amount of respect as the alphas. They answer to no one but their Alphas. While the Alphas are present, Betas are mostly used to settle minor jobs or disputes.

- Deltas?

- Guardians
These wolves are more or less just specialized members. These wolves are built strong to last long, they have a sense of justice and know what is right and wrong. They are usually the more loyal wolves in the pack. They watch over the den and surrounding area and greet visitors. It is their job to bring intruders to the alpha and to chase away immediate threats.

- Hunters
The hunters are very similar to the Guardians being the larger and stronger wolves. These wolves have been given the job of hunting for food to feed the pack. Usually they bring along other pack members since the hunters themselves are small in number. This is one of the most helpful positions as these wolves keep the pack alive and healthy.

- Members
General members of the pack, all wolves joining the pack start at this rank unless their skills would be wasted here. The time spent as a member and what you do determines if you can move up in rank. Ultimately it is up to the alpha pair to decide and they are usually very picky.

- Apprentices
Basically the same thing as a pup, except they are now allowed to go on hunts. They are still not allowed to participate but they are now beginning to learn how things in the pack work.

- Omegas
There is generally one omega in the pack, this wolf has done something terribly bad, and the alpha has just barely allowed them to stay in the pack. This wolf is usually left as a babysitter for pups when the pack leaves to hunt and if they mess up again, they will be exiled from the pack. It takes a lot of work to move back up in the ranks from an omega position.

- Pups
Pretty self explanatory, this is any wolf under the age of one year. These wolves are not allowed on hunts, and must be watched at all times until the age of 6 months. After that, they are allowed to explore as long as they have adult permission. Only the alpha pair can mate unless otherwise stated by them.
